I understand where people are coming from with this, but there is a difference.
A burqa is a cultural thing. It doesn’t say in the Quran that they have to wear a burqa, but they’ve adopted this tradition and taken it seriously because the Quran does say to “dress modestly” and mentions a hijab which is translated to the word “veil” or “covering, curtain, drapes”; which the Quran says they can’t “communicate with god except through inspiration, or from behind a hijaban”. Because of this passage and the word “hijab” they’ve taken it very literal and thus started wearing a burqa. They think it’s pleasing to their god. How would we feel if society was telling us Christians that something we did that we thought was pleasing to our God was wrong and they were trying to ban it? We’d be pretty upset.
I know I’m going to get a lot of people saying I’m wrong for disagreeing with this image. But in actual fact I’m right. That doesn’t mean I’m for terrorism. But just because someone is Muslim doesn’t mean they’re a terrorist. Just like a African American isn’t automatically a slave or a blues singer, or not all Jamaicans smoke marijuana…
Maybe if everyone stopped being so racist the Muslims that ARE terrorists might not have so many reasons to want to be terrorists…
